Steps to Add a Goal:

  1. Login to your HelloTeam account.

  2. Click on Goals on the left-hand menu. The Goals page will display Company, Department, Team and Personal Goals.

  3. To add a Personal Goal, click on the Personal Goals tab at the top of your screen. Note: these steps are identical for creating any type of goal within the HelloTeam platform.

  4. Click on the blue Add Personal Goal button to the right of your screen.

  5. Complete the fields to create your Goal.

    1. Goal Title

      1. This is a short summary of the goal

    2. Alignment (Optional)

      1. Option to align this personal goal to a team, department or company goal from the dropdown menu

    3. Set a Weight (Optional)

    4. Select a Due Date

      1. This Month, This Quarter, This Year or Custom Date

    5. Visibility

      1. This is defaulted to private, which means only the owner and managers in the hierarchy can view the goal.
If it was set to public, everyone in the organization would be able to view the goal.

    6. Description

  6. You may include a more detailed Description of the Goal.

  7. Select the Owner. This option will default to the user but can be changed as a manager.

  8. Save each Goal by clicking the Green Save Button at the bottom of the window.

Keep in Mind...

  • Manual vs. Automatic Goals

    • When you add a personal goal in the system, by default it will set the goal to be manual. This means you can manually update the goals progress by using the percentage bar.

    • If you would prefer the goal to be automatic, you can build key results off of the personal goal. The progress on the personal goal would come from the progress of your key results.
