This article will help you get started with HelloTeam Learning.
Introduction
HelloTeam's Learning Management System (LMS for short) allows you to effectively train your employees using online course ware that can be easily created or uploaded. HelloTeam Learning also includes a robust list of features allowing you to create courses, course catalogs, certificates, strong reporting and much more. Below is our quick start guide to help you get started.
Building a Course
Step 1 - Prepare Content / Learning Objects
Before creating courses in the LMS, you will want to prepare the content that will go into those courses. Learning objects make up courses. Every course needs to contain at least one learning object. Examples of learning object types include: images, videos, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel and more.
Step 2 - Upload / Embed Learning Objects
Once your content is prepared, it's time to upload that content into the LMS. From the main admin menu, click "Learning Objects". You'll then see the various learning object types. Click on the type of learning object you wish to upload.
Step 3 - Create Courses & Attach Learning Objects
Now that you have the learning objects uploaded, you can you create courses and add in those learning objects. Remember, functioning courses need to contain at least one learning object and can contain an unlimited amount of learning objects.
Step 4 - Create Certificates for Your Courses
Certificates are optional within your LMS. If you would like to create a certificate, click "Certificates" from the main admin menu. The LMS includes a default certificate design, but also allows for administrators to upload a custom design.
Step 5 - Setting Up Catalogs & Attaching Courses
Catalogs are a way of organizing courses in your LMS. Catalogs contain courses and courses contain learning objects. For example - A catalog is titled "Restaurant Training", Within that catalog are courses "Front of the House Training", "Back of the House Training" and "Management Training." So in that example, there are three courses within the catalog titled "Restaurant Training." Your LMS can contain multiple catalogs and you can have catalogs within catalogs.
Enroll Users into Courses
Once your courses are set up in your LMS, you'll want to either enroll leaner's (users) into those courses or allow self-enrollment. Self-enrollment is configurable by an admin when creating a course. Self-enrollment allows for learner's to enroll themselves into a course. If this feature is turned off, administrators will need to manually enroll the learners into the course.
Measure Training with Analytics & Reporting
There are many options for seeing data in your LMS. There are activity reports, overview reports, summary reports, group summary reports, weekly reports, lifetime reports, etc. Reports can be exported to printed to screen, exported to Excel or emailed to users within the report.
